JudyGarland_2.jpg

This photograph captures D. C. Harris, left, selling a money order to Judy Garland in the Old Mineral Wells Post Office. In 2102 it was determined that Garland, a Baker Hotel guest, was in the post office to lead a procession of children there in order to purchase Defense Stamps. This is one of many examples of Boyce Ditto Public Library collections included in The Portal to Texas History, a online, digital history project overseen by the University of North Texas Libraries.
