    The recent election of our present president has driven a wedge between the political leanings of our family politics. This fact has rendered me less vocal in my writings, if for no other reason than keeping peace in our after-dinner conversations.

    The storm that came by June 12 was the cause of much excitement. We kept hearing it on the weather machine, didn’t do much toward getting a place fixed, then heard them say get in a closet or something and we began to rush around and gather up things.

    The fun thing to say in Millsap this past week has been “Where were you when the storm struck?”

    Walden’s Feeds is getting ready to open its new store in Mineral Wells in four to six weeks. It will be located at l96 Garrett Morris Parkway, which is next door to Tractor Supply. This will be their third feed store – they have one in Weatherford located on Highway 5l South, which is actually South Main Street, just past Lowe’s.

  • SWEETTALK: Domestic projects show age is often just a number
    I passed another birth date this past week. I am now 83 years old.
