Personally from Perrin

Still a chance to buy company close-out bargains

PERRIN – Billie Gillespie is selling out her stock of Home Interiors and Gifts. The company has gone out of business and she’s selling her inventory at half price or less. Call her at (940) 798-2735 or (940) 452-1242 to see all her stock. From what she said she has a large variety of items and at a good price.

The Perrin-Whitt school will resume classes at the regular school time on Monday.

We had about 5 inches of snow on the ground over the Christmas holiday. I’ve heard the old wives tale, about if the snow doesn’t melt in three days, you’ll have another snow within the week. And we did. We had some pretty good drifts around the house at Christmas, and that wind really whipped them up high. Kay said her little dogs really had to take some convincing to go outside to do their “business.”

Jo and Jeff Brumfield and family enjoyed a visit from one of his brothers, then they went to Cleburne on Saturday to visit with their mother and celebrate Christmas.

Louise and Elton Short visited with their sons and family in Newcastle for the holidays.

Becky and Scott Fowler and family traveled to Flower Mound on Christmas Eve to be with Scott’s mother and then drove back in that big snowstorm. It took them almost five hours to drive home and they usually drive it in about an hour or so.

The January Angel Food box order menu is posted at several of the businesses in town. You may order online at the Angel Food Ministries website or mail your order indicating which boxes you wish.
