Travis' Jack-in-the Books wins Battle of the Books

On May 24, teams from Perrin, Poolville, Garner and Travis Elementary School met for the 10th anniversary of the Battle of the Books literary competition.

Team members spend the school year reading and re-reading 13 books on the list. This year’s books were each chosen from a previous year’s list to truly get the “Best of” books.

The first place team was Jack-in-the Books from Travis Elementary. Team members are Landon Bell, Sunni Lemley, Brady Huseman, Bethany Pophin, Brandon Ragland and Paige Riney. Coaches were Rachel Diaz and Caitlin Benge. Kelly Andreatta served as team parent.
