To select the best technology product for the classroom, schools face an array of difficult decisions.
When it comes to matching a student’s learning needs with the appropriate technology, it can further complicate the decision.
This year, Mineral Wells ISD will be partnering with BrightBytes, an educational software company, so that they can learn more about their school’s technology use for student learning.
The goal is to gather data on technology access and skills, and on the school’s technology environment, in order to understand the connection between technology use and student achievement.
The survey will be based on four areas: the classroom, access, skills, and environment.
MWISD can use this score to benchmark improvements over time and implement technology plans based on the outcome of the survey.
To gain these insights, MWISD will need to provide BrightBytes with a complete picture of technology use at school and at home.
MWISD students, teachers, and parents are invited to participate in a survey that will help them gather this data.
The electronic surveys are designed for 3rd through 12th grades and are available on the MWISD home webpage.
Participants can go to the school’s webpage at www.mwisd.net and click on the Parent Survey icon located at the bottom of the District homepage.
This will take you directly to a page where you can select the school your child attends.
The survey will take approximately five minutes. The last day to participate is Friday, January 24th.
Your participation is important to Mineral Wells ISD and can make the difference between having a complete understanding of the school’s technology use.
