MINERAL WELLS — MWHS Hall of Fame needs nominations

The Mineral Wells High School Athletic Hall of Fame is accepting nominations for the Class of 2011. The 2011 class will be inducted during March of 2011.

Please send your nominations to 1300 S.E. 22nd St., Mineral Wells, TX 76067.

Project Graduation tourney to be April 17

The Mineral Wells High School Class of 2010 will host the annual Project Graduation golf tournament on Saturday April 17, at Holiday Hills Country Club.  The shotgun start is set for 1 p.m.

The four-person scramble entry fee is $75 per person. A meal is included and numerous prizes will be awarded. The tournament is in need of players and local sponsors.

Project Graduation will also host a skeet shoot on April 24. Businesses will be able to sponsor both the golf and skeet tournament for a $100 donation.

For the golf tournament to enter or sponsor, call John Clarke at (940) 445-1352. Chairman of the skeet shoot is Kevin Cross at 325-2531.

Project graduation is also raffling a 2010 Ford pickup. Tickets for the drawing, which is scheduled for May 8, are $100.  Just 300 tickets will be sold.

The drawing will take place at the rodeo on the final night. Contact John Clarke (940) 445-1352 or Jerry Hamilton (940) 452-4974 to buy the winning ticket.
