Mad hatters

Fancy bonnets the attraction of Saturday Crazy Hats luncheon

Special to the Index

Everyone is welcome at the festive Crazy Hat Luncheon, sponsored by the Women of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.

The luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. this Saturday, May 17, at the church, 600 N.W. 6th St. Lunch is served through 1:30 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to wear or make a crazy hat, with prizes being given for the craziest hat. Chances on other exciting prizes may be purchased at the luncheon for $1 per chance.

The Fourth Annual Crazy Hat Luncheon raises funds to support church projects. Though the luncheon is sponsored by the church’s women, men are welcome, too.

Tickets are $7 and are available at the Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce, from any women’s group member or at the luncheon.
