The executive board for the 50 Year Club met April 8 for its last meeting before the June 13-14 annual reunion.

The meeting was at First United Methodist Church. The reunion is at the Mineral Wells High School cafeteria.

Club President R.J. Walton opened the meeting and introduced the members of the Class of 1959. Secretary Neta Mason read the minutes of the Jan. 11 meeting and they were approved. John Vaughan gave the treasurer's report and it was approved.

The club will give two scholarships to graduating seniors this year.

Assignments were given out for the 2008 reunion. The executive board voted for the club to join the Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Jessica Tedlie brought a special report on applying for renovation grants for the old high school building. Letters will soon be mailed to every member of the 50 Year Club concerning the June 13-14 reunion.

There being no more business, the meeting was adjourned at 11:40 a.m.
