Teen charged with stealing vehicle

Mineral Wells police arrested a 16-year-old male Friday afternoon after a stolen vehicle was recovered in northeast Mineral Wells.

According to police reports, a 1991 Honda Accord was reported stolen at 5:40 a.m. Friday from the 1900 block of S.E. 14th Street. The car was reportedly left unlocked with the keys in the center console.

Police recovered the stolen vehicle at 4:58 p.m. in the 900 block of Pasadena Boulevard where a witness saw several juveniles leave the car. The 16-year-old male was identified as he was walking down the street, officials reported. He was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Burglaries
• 300 block of N.E. 24th Avenue – A residence was reported burglarized Sunday with no signs of forced entry. A guitar amplifier valued at $150 and miscellaneous clothing valued at $200 was reported stolen.

• 600 bock of N.W. 10th Street – A house was reported burglarized Saturday was a door forced open. A Sears portable saw valued at $200 and an 8-foot straight edge valued at $150 was reported stolen.

• 2600 block of N.E. 7th Avenue – A vehicle burglary was reported Sunday involving a white Pontiac car. The door was opened on the vehicle but police reported it was unknown Sunday evening if anything was taken.

• 100 block of Country Club Parkway – Two vehicles and a storage shed were reported burglarized Thursday. A battery was reported missing from a Mazda pickup while a Mitsubishi pickup was missing its battery along with a four-foot aluminum ladder and various tools.

• 400 block of S.E. 8th Street – A building was reported burglarized Thursday with a 19-inch television valued at $60 and a Sony CD player valued at $60 were reported stolen.

Arrests
The Mineral Wells Police Department reported making the following arrests:

• Matthew Albert Allen, 20, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Sunday for criminal mischief less than $50.

• Santos G. Cornejo, 40, of Jacksboro, was arrested Sunday for driving while intoxicated.

• Nico Lorenzo Delafuente, 18, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Saturday for racing on the highway.

• Miguel Angel Garcia Jr., 22, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug-free zone and five MWPD traffic warrants.

• James Robert Harvey, 24, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday on a Jack County warrant for theft by check.

• Luis Hernandez Lujan, 27, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Saturday on three MWPD traffic warrants.

• Jared Michael Paul, 18, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday for expired inspection.

• Carl Wayne Piercy, 21, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday on two MWPD traffic warrants.

• Juan Remondo Ramirez, 19, of Millsap, was arrested Saturday on a MWPD traffic warrant.

• Andrew Manuel Rogers, 60, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday on a MWPD warrant for simple assault.

• Gary Dean Stephens Jr., 21, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Friday for no driver’s license and no insurance.

• John Christopher Stroud, 33, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Friday on three MWPD traffic warrants.

• Tonya L. Vassar, 37, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday for public intoxication.

• Javier S. Velasquez, 32, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Monday on a MWPD traffic warrant.

• Roberto Velasquez, 43, of Wake Forest, N.C., was arrested Monday on an Immigration and Naturalization Services hold.
