JUNIOR ACHIEVERS

— The Mineral Wells Index and Mineral Wells Junior High will highlight a student on Fridays during the school year for his or her accomplishments both in and out of the classroom. This week’s featured student is Damon Jaramillo:
Name: Damon Jaramillo
Grade: 8th
Favorite class: My favorite class is Science.
Favorite hobbies and activities: I like reading and playing basketball.
Last book read: The last book I read was “The Last Juror.”
Favorite movie: “8 Seconds.”
Favorite musical artist: Akon.
Person I look up to and why: The person I look up to the most is my grandma because she helps me with everything and she’s always there for me when I need help.
Where would you like to travel to and why? I would like to go to Hawaii because I love the ocean and hot weather.
How do you to expect high school to be different from junior high? I expect high school to have a lot more activities, as well as it will be more challenging and fun.
What do you want to do once you are out of high school? I want to go to college and become a children’s doctor.
