JUNIOR ACHIEVERS

— The Mineral Wells Index and Mineral Wells Junior High highlights a student on Fridays during the school year for his or her accomplishments both in and out of the classroom. This week’s featured student is Dylan Rose:
Name: Dylan Rose
Grade: 8th
Favorite class: I don’t have one favorite because I like them all.
Favorite hobbies and activities: I love to play football and basketball with my friends and hang out at the movies.
Last book read: “Where the Red Fern Grows.”
Favorite movie: “Superbad.”
Favorite musical artist: George Strait.
Person I look up to and why: I look up to my Mom because she had to take care of five kids by herself most of our lives.
Where would you like to travel to and why? I would like to go to Africa, so I could help some of the kids that don’t have parents or a place to sleep.
How do you to expect high school to be different from junior high? I expect high school to be a bit easier, and there will be a lot more girls.
What do you want to do once you are out of high school? I would like to go to college at LSU and play football. Then get drafted by an NFL team, play ball for a time, retire and last become a coach.
