Reported runaway turns himself in

Police Beat

The Mineral Wells youth who was reported as a runaway last week turned himself in to authorities late Sunday afternoon, a police official confirmed.

Mineral Wells police issued a public alert seeking his location Sunday. The 16-year-old male was placed in custody, issued a citation and released to his father, an official said.

Burglaries

• 400 block of S.W. 5th Street – A residence was reported burglarized Friday with entry gained by prying off a lock hasp. A 21-inch Sanyo television, bolt cutters, prescription and non-prescription medications, four large collectible knives, 15 to 20 boxed knife sets and a jewelry box were reported stolen. The total estimated value of the items is $1,550.

• 1600 block of South Oak Avenue – A vehicle was reported burglarized Monday with a purse containing prescription medications reported stolen from an unlocked 1996 Pontiac car. The purse was valued at $5.

• 1700 block of S.W. 7th Avenue – A residence was reported burglarized Saturday with entry through an unlocked door. Two wallets containing credit cards and cash were reported stolen.

Arrests

The Mineral Wells Police Department reported making the following arrests:

• Charles Edward Baker, 20, of Santo, was arrested Saturday on three MWPD traffic warrants.

• Armando Taylor Ballesteros, 17, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Monday on four MWPD warrants for runaway, a MWPD warrant for theft, two MWPD warrants for minor in consumption, a MWPD warrant for possession of narcotic paraphernalia and two MWPD warrants for curfew.

• Joyce Michelle Blackwood, 36, of Millsap, was arrested July 16 on a MWPD warrant for expired driver’s license.

• Sheila Ann Ellis, 38, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday for possession of a controlled substance greater than 1 gram and less than 4 grams.

• Darwin Lee Glover Jr., 24, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Friday for no driver’s license, no insurance, expired registration and expired inspection.

• Nathan Lee Gonzales, 29, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Friday on a MWPD warrant for credit card abuse and a MWPD warrant for theft greater than $50 and less than $500.

• Rhonda Kay Graham, 43, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Friday on a Tarrant County warrant for criminal nonsupport and failure to identify fugitive from justice.

• Olga Herpeche, 48, of Duncanville, was arrested Sunday for no driver’s license and no insurance.

• Robert Scott Hoskins, 24, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday for no driver’s license, no insurance and defective equipment.

• Leonard Ray Loftis, 19, of Mineral Wells, was arrested July 16 for no driver’s license and no insurance.

• Jamie Lee Long, 22, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Monday for a MWPD warrant for criminal attempt – burglary of a building.

• Thomas Boston Masey, 24, of Weatherford, was arrested Sunday for no driver’s license and no insurance.

• Jennifer Marie Masias, 22, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Saturday for theft less than $50.

• David Earl Matthews Jr., 17, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Tuesday for no driver’s license and no insurance.

• Jeffrey Lee Redner, 30, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Sunday for theft less than $50.

• John Dewayne Spell, 43, of Diana, was arrested Friday for no driver’s license and expired inspection.

• Sonja Sue Spurlock, 37, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Friday for possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram and a Palo Pinto County Sheriff’s Office warrant for theft by check.

• Brandon K. Tincher, 28, of Tyler, was arrested Monday on a MWPD warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

• Jonathan Lee Tolly, 27, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Friday for terroristic threat.

• Raymond Sambo Vargas, 30, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Tuesday on a MWPD warrant for assault-family violence.

• Jerry Dale Walker, 34, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Sunday for theft less than $50, a PPCSO warrant for silent/abusive 911 phone calls and a PPCSO warrant for theft greater than $50 and less than $500.
