Police report burglary, arrests

Burglary
• 1700 block of S.E. 22nd Avenue – A 2001 GMC pickup was reported burglarized Wednesday with a Bluetooth and cell phone charger valued at $50 reported stolen, as well as keys, insurance card and receipts.

Arrests
The Mineral Wells Police Department reported making the following arrests:

• David Robert Fritts, 40, of Perrin, was arrested Tuesday on a Parker County warrant for injury to a child and a Parker County warrant for assault with bodily injury.

• Timothy Brian Lum, 17, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday for evading arrest/detention.

• Michael Bradley Scott, 21, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Tuesday on a Palo Pinto County Sheriff’s Department off-bond warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

House Fire - Flames engulfed a frame home in the 2900 block of U.S. Highway 281 South late Thursday afternoon. Mineral Wells paid and volunteer firefighters responded to the call that came about 5 p.m. The house was unoccupied, though a woman at the scene said she and her husband were trying to renovate the residence. She said there was a trash burn there earlier in the day. The house sustained extensive fire, smoke and water damage. An official cause for the blaze was not obtained Thursday evening.
