Chamber hosts Vegas-style New Year's Eve celebration

The Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce brings its New Year’s Eve Casino Night back this year and encourages all adults over 21 – chamber member or not – to join in the fun.

The party begins at 8 p.m. and continues until midnight or beyond at the North Oak Community Center downtown, 600 N. Oak Ave.

“Through the generosity of our members and their businesses, attendees will enjoy blackjack, craps, slots, Texas Hold ’Em and roulette,” said chamber Executive Director Beth Henary Watson. “Then after the tables close, they can put their ‘winnings’ toward chances to win one of many great prizes.”

The tables will be open from 8 p.m. to about 11 p.m. At 11 p.m., chamber member Dunbar Neighborhood Council will serve a country breakfast.

“And of course we’ll toast at midnight,” Watson added.

Tickets for the chamber’s New Year’s Eve Casino Night are $40 per person through Friday, and $50 thereafter. The ticket price includes $2,000 in casino money, and more money to play with may be obtained at the event.
