Mineral Wells Emergency Medical Services transported two drivers to Palo Pinto General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 180 in Mineral Wells, Thursday afternoon.
Mineral Wells Police Chief Dean Sullivan said the Mineral Wells Police Department and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers rolled on the accident in the 3400 block of 180 – near Ram Country Dodge – at around 5 p.m. MWPD believes the driver of a white Toyota four-door sedan was at fault, saying while driving westbound, he veered into the eastbound lane of traffic and struck another vehicle driven by a woman.
Sullivan said the wreck backed up traffic on the main artery through Mineral Wells, but police had the wreckage cleared fairly quickly, within 30 to 40 minutes.
After the accident, Sullivan said police found what they believe to be marijuana in the man’s Toyota. Police are still investigating this substance and the collision as a whole.
