Local pastors met to begin planning for the second year of partnership with the Mineral Wells police department in serving residents in the new Project 365 boundaries.
MISSION Mineral Wells, a partnership of PULSE Ministries Inc. and several local churches joined together last March in a month-long outreach in the area known by the police department as the 2013 Project 365 Zone. Christians spent four consecutive Saturdays sharing the love of Christ with the resident through prayer walks, giving gifts, helping to clean up the area and wrapping up with an Easter celebration that drew a large crowd.
The police department has determined the new boundaries that remain in the southeast side of town, but are immediately west of last year’s borders. With a new target area, MMW is gearing up for their next “trip” to the Project 365 Zone from Mar. 29 to Apr. 19.
“The Bible says that they will know God sent Jesus when we are working as one unified body. Our goal is not to promote any one church but to give a face to the church and show that it is real, is good and it cares,” Rose Jordan of MMW said.
Anyone interested in joining in the outreach may do so by donating and/or helping in any or all of the planned events. Contact Jordan at 682-225-3315 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
