Quality Carpet Care filling a local need

For many, the desire to serve is inherent. Some give by donating time, while others give of their  resources or services. For the lucky few, some even get to fuse their desire to serve with their job. Ryan Pappas, owner and operator of Mineral Wells’ new business Quality Carpet Care, is one of the lucky few.

Pappas’ story begins in Dallas where his step-father, Norman Brown, who was originally from Graford, met Pappas’ mother, married her, then brought the family back to Graford, where their blood quickly grew entangled with Crazy Water. So much so that his brother, Aaron Pappas, is head basketball coach for Mineral Wells High School, and his mother, Diane Brown, is the Director of Volunteer Services and Foundation at Palo Pinto General Hospital. And now Pappas is bringing his skills and expertise to fill a need as well.

When Pappas’ step-father retired from firefighting he went into the restoration business, eventually opening up North 40 Carpet Care in Mineral Wells. So, during Pappas’ high school years he would work with his step-father, learning a lot of the trade from him.

Before Pappas got into business on his own, he worked for the local CCA Prison prior to its closing. But when the prison shut its doors, Ryan felt like it was time to start pursuing his own dreams – enter  QCC.

Part of Pappas decision to open QCC was based on his familiarity with the trade, but another key element that weighed in on his decision was the fact that he saw a need.

“There’s a few local carpet businesses here in town, but actually, a lot of people from outside [of Mineral Wells including places] like Weatherford come into Mineral Wells to clean carpets,” Pappas said. “So, I am hoping, [since I am] locally owned and operated, to draw some business. That way people don’t have to keep calling people [from out of town].”

Another reason Pappas decided to go into business was to provide great services for a reasonable price.

“I am really strong on doing quality work and staying down at an affordable price,” Pappas said.

Drawing this notion a step further, the company’s slogan is “quality care at affordable prices.”

To make things even more competitive, Pappas is open for business all day, every day of the week and services both residential and commercial locations.

The main services QCC provides are carpet/upholstery, car/truck/rv, tile/grout, water extraction and janitorial.
