WEATHERFORD – Parker County investigators who are searching for missing 15-year-old Abigail Rubio have confirmed that she was spotted in Hudson Oaks Thursday night.
Authorities are attempting to locate the teen, who went missing after she left the Weatherford Ninth Grade Center around 1:30 p.m. Thursday without her prescribed medication or cell phone.
She was reported missing Thursday evening by a family member when she did not arrive at her home south of Weatherford after school.
Rubio is described as a white female, approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing about 240 pounds and having long, wavy, strawberry blond hair and hazel eyes. She was reported to be wearing blue jeans, a T-shirt, a black hooded sweatshirt and carrying a backpack.
Rubio was alone and on foot at the Hudson Oaks’ Wal-Mart and left around 10 p.m., apparently after the time the witness possibly saw her speaking to the man with the car, sheriff’s office spokeswoman Danie Huffman said Tuesday evening.
Monday, authorities issued a description of a later model black Impala and a man with a fair complexion and dark hair and a mustache possibly seen with Rubio along FM Road 730.
Other information revealed Rubio took personal belongings from her residence prior to arriving at school, where she walked away from, missing her last three classes, according to officials. At this time, investigators believe Rubio left her home and school without the intentions of returning and is considered to be a runaway, said Huffman.
Anyone with information about Rubio’s whereabouts or disappearance is urged to call the Parker County Sheriff’s Office at (817) 594-8845.
Parker County Crime Stoppers, which can be reached at (817) 599-5555, is also offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the location of Rubio. Callers can remain anonymous.
