Kids’ Kitchen Boot Camp registration ends today

PALO PINTO – There’s less than a day left to register for Kitchen Boot Camp, a two-day camp sponsored by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Palo Pinto County, which give kids a chance to learn how to have fun, while being safe, creating recipes in the kitchen.

The Agrilife extension office will host two day camps in the coming weeks, with a focus on food and fun. Both events are open to youth in third through eighth grades and will take place at the extension office located at 221 S. 5th Ave., in Palo Pinto.  

• Kitchen Boot Camp will be held next week, July 31-Aug. 1, 1-4 p.m. Kids will be involved in hands-on cooking experiences, designed to help them learn about following recipes, measuring ingredients and being safe in the kitchen. The cost of this two-day camp is $25 per participant. Space is limited and registration ends today.

• Kitchen Science will take place on Aug. 7, 1-4 p.m. In this one-day program, kids will get hands-on experience in the kitchen performing kitchen science experiments and making some tasty treats. The fee for Kitchen Science is $15 per participant. Space is limited and the deadline to register is Aug. 2.
