Sleep Shop celebrates grand re-opening

— By TYLER MASK

The Sleep Shop, which has been in Mineral Wells for more than a year, has just traded hands and the new owners, Brian and Sarah Reedy, aren’t new to the business either. This Tuesday, they held a Grand Re-opening and ribbon-cutting event where a sizable crowd showed up, including Mineral Wells Mayor Mike Allen and members of the Chamber of Commerce. Among the excitement were giveaways, food provided by Mesquite Pit and cookies from Taste & See Bakery. The purpose behind the event was to inform people about all the changes coming to the mattress store.

“[We] just [want] to let everybody know that if they weren’t happy, it’s under new management and ownership, come in and we’ll take care of you,” Sarah Reedy said. “We’re warrantying anything that was done previously before we were in here – we will still help the customer out, of course, and try to make it right for them.”

The new owners hope people will stop by and witness first hand what a bit of experience can really do. In fact, their track record seems to prove their success so far because the Reedys still own their other two stores both under the name of Mattress Depot in Burleson and Cedar Hill.

“[People can expect] awesome customer service,” Reedy said. “If you don’t have good customer service, you don’t have a business. So that’s what we really strive to keep is excellent customer service.”

The types of mattresses offered are numerous, growing and priced competitively.

“We offer memory foam, gel, regular coil beds, pillow top, and then we have some hybrids, which have the memory foam and the gel,” Reedy said. “And we’re coming in with a couple of new beds that we don’t actually have in here yet that have all three combined. And we offer mechanical beds, and just about any mattress that you can think of, we offer.

“We are very competitive, so anybody who is looking for a good deal, I want them to come to us. We offer a warranty, anywhere from a 10-year to a 16-year warranty on a few beds. If there is ever an issue, we pride ourselves in customer service.”

Although the store has primarily Sleeptronic on display, the brands they offer are also numerous.

“We carry Royal Bedding, Sleeptronic, Golden Bedding, Emily and Corsicana Bedding,” Store manger Keisha Reeves said.

Beyond just mattresses, the store also carries a variety of sleep accessories including pillows, sheets, mattress covers and even furniture.

Starting this week, the store is extending its business hours to 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Reedy also said to be looking for specials in the next couple of weeks.
