Local voters have opportunity to meet Republican candidates on Tuesday

The Republican voters of Mineral Wells will have their first chance to see all of their GOP candidates running for county office – as well as candidates for a Texas legislative seat – all in one place this week.

Palo Pinto County Republican Party Chair Barbara Upham told the Index the next Republican Party meeting, to be held Tuesday evening at Holiday Hills Country Club, will feature the official introduction of all Palo Pinto County Republican candidates running in the March primary election.

Upham said voters have the option to attend a dinner at the country club at 6 p.m. before the actual meeting starts at 7 p.m. The meeting will be followed by a meet-and-greet period during which voters can talk to candidates one-on-one and ask questions.

Also in attendance will be Jim Keffer and Cullen Crisp, republican candidates running for the District 60 seat in the Texas House of Representatives.

Keffer, the incumbent, is also scheduled to be the keynote speaker for the evening – a decision Upham said was made long before Crisp entered the race.
