But for those who don’t bid (or those who do), there’s the option to win door prizes, such as: a trip to Las Vegas (valued at $1,000); a small, Kel-Tec .380 handgun; two one-night stays at the Mineral Wells Best Western; a PPGH bone-density scan; or one of two free assessment and 30-day membership to the PPGH Wellness Center.
Each year the foundation grants funds for entities with specific requests. From volunteer fire departments to schools or youth and adult programs; from history to area beautification, and more, the Brazos Foundation has given over $200,000 back to area communities.
This year’s awards will be announced Saturday night.

The event is casual party dress and begins at 5:30 p.m. Admission is $100 per person and proceeds go toward foundation grants.
