On line art:

MWAA hosts annual 'Clothesline Art Sale' Sat.

By LIBBY CLUETT | lcluett@mineralwellsindex.com

Join the Mineral Wells Art Association Saturday for its second annual, one-day-only “Clothesline Art Sale.”

Based on last year’s sale, this is a great opportunity for citizens to purchase original art – including paintings and photography – from local artists and help the association raise funds to cover overhead costs.

According to MWAA President Mike Wells, many of the works for sale hanging from a “clothesline” inside the art association building are priced in the range of $30 to $50. The maximum price is $100.

“It is a great time for anyone wanting an original painting to obtain one at bargain prices,” Wells said.

The sale takes place Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 204 S.E. 3rd Ave. Light refreshments – tea, coffee and cookies – will be on hand and Wells said MWAA members will be available to explain their “clothesline” work and give a tour of the facility and other works of art on display.
