Tuesday primary runoff info

Runoff election day is Tuesday, July 31. Polls will be open 7 a.m.-7 p.m. The consolidated Palo Pinto County voting precincts are:

Precincts/Locations

• 4, 21, 29, 11, 17, 12, 23, 24, 22 (Mineral Wells and Progress) – Southside Church of Christ, 1401 S.E. 25th Ave.

• 14, 28, 25, 30 (Mineral Wells) – MWISD District Services Center, 906 S. W. 5th Ave.

• 13, 27, 26 (Mineral Wells) – Mineral Wells Senior Center, 102 N. W. 6th Ave.

• 8, 16 (Santo and Lone Camp)    – Church of Christ Santo, 171 Travis St., Santo.

• 18, 6, 5 (Mingus, Gordon and Strawn) – Mingus City Hall, Mingus.

• 1, 9 (Palo Pinto, Gaines Bend)     – 4-H Extension Building, 221 S. 5th Ave., Palo Pinto.

• 20 (Fox Hollow) – Westlake Chapel, 501 Highway 1148, Graham.

• 7, 2, 15, 3 (Graford, Salesville and Pickwick) – Graford Lions Club, 117 N. Main, Graford.

On the Ballots

There are runoff races in both the state Republican and Democratic primaries. Remember, if you voted in the Democratic primary in May, you can only vote this time in the Democratic primary runoff election. Same is true for those who voted in the Republican primary, they can only vote in the Republican primary runoff election. If you are a registered voter and did not vote, you are eligible to vote in either party's runoff election.

Railroad Commissioner (unexpired term) – Barry Smitherman, Greg Parker

Justice, Supreme Court, Place 4 – John Devine, David Medina

Palo Pinto County Commissioner, Pct. 1 – Curtis D. Henderson, Robert H. Manskey

Democratic Primary

United States Senator – Paul Sadler, Grady Yarbrough
