Wildlife Workshop

Walden’s Tuesday program offers free meal and wildlife education

From staff reports

Walden Farm & Ranch Supply will host Walden’s Wildlife Workshop, on Tuesday, Aug. 20, which includes a free meal as well as a free workshop on wildlife management.

The program is open to all pre-registered area residents and takes place at the Palo Pinto County Sheriff’s Posse building, located at 1300 Farm-to-Market Road 1821 North, in Mineral Wells. It all starts with a meal served at 6:30 p.m. and the speakers will begin at 7 p.m.

Walden’s Wildlife Workshop is a free, community event providing educational wildlife information for wildlife enthusiasts and novices in rural parts of the country. All are welcome to attend, however, please reserve a space online at www.waldenfarmandranch.com or by calling 940-325-8500 no later than Saturday.

“We are excited to host Walden’s Wildlife Workshop,” said Rusty Holbrooks, manager of Walden Farm & Ranch Supply in Mineral Wells. “This is a great opportunity for the community to engage with local wildlife specialist Jason Luster, speaking on ‘Habitat Improvement for Wildlife,’ and  Gina Bagby of Purina Animal Nutrition, speaking on ‘What’s new from Purina.’ These two expert speakers will teach the latest trends in wildlife management, nutrition and products.”

Along with these engaging speakers, everyone who attends will receive a free 50-pound bag of Purina AntlerMax Deer 20, as well as 50-percent-off coupons and will have an opportunity to book their deer corn and deer feed at the lowest price of the season, according to Holbrooks.

Walden Farm & Ranch Supply is a family owned and operated feed store, serving the Mineral Wells, Millsap and Weatherford communities. The stores have a wide variety of farm and ranch supplies, feeds, pet foods and supplies, animal health products, horse and tack supplies and lawn and garden supplies.
