DSHS offers vaccine clinic Tuesday for children, adults

The Texas Department of State Health Services will hold an immunization clinic, Tuesday, Oct. 1, at its Mineral Wells Field Office.

The DSHS provides immunizations for children and adults who do not have insurance.

Currently, the local office just has flu shots for children.

The clinic will take place 9-11:30 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. at the office, located at 4113 U.S. Highway 180 East.

The cost is $10 per child and $20 per adult. Maximum out-of-pocket for a child’s family is $20, meaning if there are five children in a family that get shots, it will cost $20. However, this doesn’t apply to adult shots.
