Strawn teen selected for Miss Teen Dallas contest

From staff reports

Brittney Boyd of Strawn was recently selected to participate in the 2014 Miss Teen Dallas pageant competition.

In the Nov. 3 contest, Boyd will compete in the teen division – one of four divisions for young ladies, ages 7-19; – which includes modeling routines for casual and formal wear. She will also display her personality and interviewing skills in front of this year’s Dallas judging panel. Personality is the number one aspect that each contestant is judged on during all phases of competition.

The winning contestant will go on to represent Dallas and the surrounding communities at the National Competition, taking place in Orlando, Fla.

Community businesses, organizations and private individuals will assist Boyd in participating in this year’s competition by becoming an official sponsor, specifically for her. Through sponsorship, each contestant receives all the necessary training, rehearsals and financial support, which will allow Brittney to become a confident and well-prepared contestant in this year’s Dallas Pageant.

Any business, organization, or private individual who may be interested in becoming a sponsor to Boyd may contact the Miss Teen Dallas pageant coordinator, at 1-877-403-6678.
