A Millsap woman accused of shooting her brother in the chest with a pellet rifle during a dispute was recently given probation.
Ramona Kathalene Fox, 54, confessed to entering her brother’s residence and shooting her brother in the chest on Oct. 26 after he previously went to her residence and destroyed her property, the Parker County Sheriff’s Office reported at the time.
Deputies reportedly found the man lying on the couch covered in “copious” amounts of blood at his residence on Brazos Rock Road.
He was transported by helicopter to the hospital.
In a plea arrangement, Fox received six years deferred adjudication probation and a $750 fine on Aug. 23, according to court records.
Deferred adjudication allows defendants to complete probation requirements and avoid a formal conviction.
