Company sues nursing facility for nearly $1M

By CHRISTIN COYNE | Lone Star News Group

As plans for a possible sale of the facility proceed, Crescent Senior Care was dealt another legal hurdle this month as the fourth company to file suit in Parker County district court during the past six months submitted allegations the nursing home owes them nearly $1 million for services provided over four years.

Pros Rehabilitation LLC filed a lawsuit June 5, alleging Crescent Senior Care owes about $915,000 for services provided between 2009 and April 2013.

Crescent Senior Care Center retail director Kelley Bailey declined to comment and the Democrat was unable to reach company principal Todd Lindley Wednesday.

Excel X-Ray filed suit against Crescent Senior Care and Lindley in February, claiming the facility owes more than $13,000 for services provided between November 2010 and January 2013.

DFW Full Spectrum Contractors and Consultants claims the business owes them more than $164,000 for completed and approved roof and air-conditioning unit work done last year, according to a lawsuit filed in April.

On April 18, Aledo Medicine Store received a summary judgment in their favor, awarding the pharmacy approximately $156,000 plus interest and attorneys fees. Crescent Senior Care failed to respond or appear after being served regarding the allegations they failed to pay the pharmacy for services.

The pharmacy has filed paperwork with the district court in recent weeks seeking to collect the judgment.

Some employees complained recently of problems cashing payroll checks.

College Park Rehabilitation and Care Center facility administrator Tami Fitzgerald, on Monday said the business intends to buy Crescent Senior Care and is in the process of seeking an emergency change of ownership from the state.
