100-year-old program, notes topic of MW Heritage meeting Thursday

— Gerald Warfield will present a program written by an early Mineral Wells resident, Nancy Carolyn (Carrie) Arrington in 1910 at Thursday’s Mineral Wells Heritage Association meeting.

The handwritten notes were provided to Heritage member Patsy Weaver by Jimmie Montgomery of Mineral Wells. Photographs and other materials relating to Mrs. Arrington and the time will be shown.

Everyone interested in the history of Mineral Wells and Palo Pinto County is encouraged to attend. The association meets for business at 6:30 p.m. and for the program at 7 p.m. the secon Thursday of each month at the Rock School Museum, 105 N.W. 5th Ave. Refreshments will be served by Helen Stephens. Parking is at the side of the building, and the entrance is at the rear. For more information call 327-8789.
