PALO PINTO COUNTY – For several weeks AT&T Wireless customers in the county have experienced bouts of lost and sporadic service with seemingly few answers from the telecommunications company.
Georgia Downs, of Santo, said her service had been sporadic at best for about a month.
She said she had called customer service but received little information about the outages, other than being told there were a lot of remedy tickets in her area.
“Some customers in the Santo area may be experiencing intermittent issues with their wireless services as we complete upgrades to area cell sites,” an AT&T spokesman said via email. “Our technicians are working diligently to resolve the issue. We apologize for this inconvenience.”
Downs said she hopes the service will be restored to full power soon. She said she was glad she kept her landline phone service.
AT&T attributed service problems with 3G and 4G last month in and around the 300 block of N.E. 11th Avenue to a hardware issue in a nearby cell tower, a company spokesman said, and has since been restored.
