Three local eateries are providing free Veteran’s Day meals for local service men and women.
Chili’s will offer a variety of free entrees for veterans with a military ID Sunday and Monday during regular business hours, according to manager Tim Featheringill.
“We have a limited menu for it and any of our desserts are five dollars,” he said.
The next day, on Monday, veterans can also receive a free meal at Mesquite Pit.
Owner Jake Maynard said vets can enjoy a meal from a special menu and their spouses will get their meals for half price.
“We’ll be offering free meals to all of our military service members with military ID or any other proof,” he explained.
Mary Devitt, general manager of Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, said the restaurant will give veterans and active-duty soldiers a free meal on either Sunday or Monday.
“We’re doing 100 percent off for all the veterans and anyone that has a spouse gets 50 percent off,” she said.
Additionally, Devitt said the restaurant is the alone in offering a choice of anything on the menu, including breakfast.
She also encouraged individuals to bring insignias or other military memorabilia to display on a corkboard located in the restaurant’s bar area.
