Pets of the Week: Female Pom mixes need new home

Betty and Wilma are the Pets of the Week, two small female dogs thought to be part Pomeranian and Papillon – or a similar breed with a fluffy curled tail.

Crosses with Pomeranians or Papillon, called Paparanians, typically love to play and like children and adults alike. Betty and Wilma are full of energy and character. They are small enough to take places in the car or to take on walks around town.

They are very vocal and should help signal when someone is at the door or around the house, providing an alarm system. These spry, healthy dogs will need a secure fence, with no holes, and plenty of exercise.

An adoption fee includes paying surgery and a rabies shot. To adopt Betty and/or Wilma, contact the Mineral Wells Animal Shelter at (940) 328-7752. The shelter is located at 101 Farm-to-Market Road 2256 and is open 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on weekends.
