WEATHERFORD — By CHRISTIN COYNE
WEATHERFORD – A Mineral Wells man appeared to have fallen asleep when he was found Wednesday afternoon in a vehicle the Parker County Sheriff’s Office said he was burglarizing.
He was reportedly awakened by a deputy.
The sheriff’s office responded to a call shortly after 3 p.m. in the 8600 block of West Interstate 20 north service road south of Millsap regarding a suspicious vehicle.
There a deputy reportedly found Brandon Scott Glover, 33, asleep in a red Ford pickup that did not belong to him.
Neither the truck owner nor the property owner had given Glover permission to be in the truck, the deputy determined.
When the deputy asked Glover to exit the vehicle, money reportedly fell onto the ground from his lap, and Glover reportedly stated that it was his.
He “was being nosy and looked through the truck,” Glover told the deputy, according to the probable cause affidavit.
However, the deputy confirmed that the money belonged to the vehicle owner, who had a plastic bag of change in the vehicle.
Glover was arrested and charged with burglary of a vehicle, a class A misdemeanor.
He remained in the Parker County Jail as of Thursday evening.
