Mineral Wells Track Club set to start season

The Mineral Wells Track Club is set to hold registration.

The summer track program is open to boys and girls entering the first through the 12th grades.

The Mineral Wells Track club will participate in a series of Texas Amateur Athletic Federation circuit track and field meets that will conclude at the 2008 TAAF Games of Texas.

Team members will compete in six separate age groups at the summer meets.

The team will hold its first practice on June 2 at the Jackie Harvey Track Complex.

The cost to join the Mineral Wells Track Club is $25 per person, according to coach Jackie Harvey.

Team members who are 13 years old and under will practice between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. on June 2.

Team members who are 14 years of age and older will practice between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.
