Dwarf Cars roll into 281 Speedway spotlight

STEPHENVILLE — Dirt track auto racing is set to resume at 8 p.m. on Saturday with Lone Star Dwarf Cars and a full program of dirt track racing at the 281 Speedway.

A handful of dirt track drivers, pit crews and fans from Mineral Wells and the surrounding area are ready to make the the 30 odd-mile drive to the track, which is located north of Stephenville on State Highway 281 for Saturday night’s racing card.

Notes ... The speedway’s season started in April and will come to an end in late September.

Racing is held in six separate classes — IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportsMods, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Hobby Stocks, Smiley’s Street Stocks and Compact Cruisers.

The followling is a class-by-class look at recent results:

Compact Cruisers
