Registration set to start for Little League Association fall baseball, softball leagues

Mineral Wells Little League Association fall baseball and softball registration is set to start.

Sign ups for fall league teams is scheduled Sept. 2 and Sept. 8 between 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. as well as between 9 a.m. and noon at the Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce office.

The Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce office is located at 511 E. Hubbard St.

The cost to play on fall league teams is $30 per player.

Play is planned in the following leagues: Coach Pitch League for players between seven and eight years of age; Kid Pitch League for players between the ages of nine and 12 years of age and Junior Leagues for boys and players between 13 and 14 years old.

Coach pitch games may take place after 4 p.m. on Saturdays in order to To accommodate soccer league play, according to association spokesman Shawn McDougal.

McDougal also said that Junior League teams may be required to travel.
