Aledo slips past Lady Rams

The Aledo Lady Bearcats continued their march through the District 6-4A slate Tuesday evening. Unfortunately for the Mineral Wells Lady Rams, it was at their expense.

Despite a strong performance from Mineral Wells late in the contest, Aledo hammered out a 25-15, 25-12 and 25-19 victory.

With the win, Aledo solidified its hold on the district top spot, improving to 8-0. Aledo currently holds a two game lead over both Birdville and Springtown in the 6-4A standings.

Mineral Wells, on the other hand, fell to 1-7 in district play, and to 10-19 overall.

Aledo also emerged with wins in the junior varsity and freshmen team bouts. The AHS junior varsity won by a 25-6 and 25-12 margin, while the Aledo freshmen won, 25-13, 25-18.
