ARLINGTON – Levi Knowles scored four touchdowns to lead the Community Christian School Warriors to a 68-19 win over Christian Life School here Friday night in a non-district contest.
The win evens the Warriors’ record at 3-3.
The Warriors dominated defensively, led by four sacks from lineman Isaiah Brazeal. The CCS defense also produced a pair of safeties.
“We pretty much did what we wanted to do,” Warriors head coach Bryan Horton said. “Our defensive line put on a lot of pressure, and it is rare to have one safety in a six man game much less two.
“They could not block Isaiah, and Sammy (Brazeal) also had a monster game. But we still have areas to improve on defensively.
“We aren’t the fastest defense, so we have to rely on technique and recognition. We need to react sooner to some things and make a move.
“But overall I feel we played well. We played tough and hard, and our offense keeps humming. There was really not much to not like about (Friday’s) game.”
Sammy Brazeal and Joby Bradshaw each added touchdowns. Isaiah Brazeal scored two touchdowns two different ways, on a kickoff return and a pass reception.
CCS will continue non-district play at 7 p.m. Friday (Oct. 11) at home against Hill School.
