Billue, Howard led Ladycats to win

Lady Pirates move to 2-0

STAFF REPORTS

EASTLAND – On Friday, Payton Billue scored 13 points and Chasen Howard added 12 to lead the Santo Ladycats to a 53-45 victory over East land.

Also scoring for Santo (2-0) were Megan MacPherson with eight point, Bree Raffaele and Courtney Flanagan, each with seven, and Taylor Nemeth with six.

The Ladycats led 15-12 after the first quarter and 29-20 at the half. Eastland outscored Santo 18-8 in the third period to take a 38-37 lead into the fourth quarter.

Santo held Eastland to seven points in the fourth while scoring 16 to secure the win.

The Santo junior varsity defeated Eastland, 43-30, with Makaylee Steiner and Sage Sparks each scoring nine points to lead the Ladycats.

Also scoring for Santo JV (2-0) were Sadie Gann with eight points, Jawnee Hess, Emily Ashbrook and Reagan Raffaele, each with four, Lille Motley with three and Caitlyn Finley with two.

Lady Pirates move to 2-0

PERRIN – On Friday, Scarlett Brown scored 18 points and Ashlyn Cox and Kelsie Anderson each added 12 to lead the Perrin Lady Pirates to a 61-35 win over Henrietta Midway.

Also scoring for Perrin (2-0) were Danielle Kuhn with 10 points, Leslie Burwell with six and Hailee Fowler with five. Cox also added four assists and Anderson came close to a triple double as she recored six rebounds and eight steals. Burwell also registered four assists.

Perrin led 16-7 after the opening period and 28-22 at the half. Perrin widened its lead in the third quarter with a 21-6 run to take a 49-28 lead into the fourth quarter.
