Allie Blissitte scored a game-high 12 points to lead the Mineral Wells Junior High School Lady Rams A team to a 32-0 victory over the Granbury Middle School Lady Pirates Thursday night at the MWJH gym.
“This group is really coming together and maturing as a team,” Lady Rams head coach Jeff Brumfield said. “The girls came out with a strong press which also helped us offensively.”
Also scoring were Tahya Ruelas with nine points, Jacy Grimes with four, Brooklyn Lovern with three, and Mollie Simonton and Stormie Mayo, each with two.
Ruelas led the Lady Rams with 10 rebounds, with Peyton Malone grabbing three rebounds and Grimes finishing with two.
Simonton and Ruelas each had four steals to lead the team, with Malone adding three and Lovern and Mayo with two each. Mayo also blocked three shots.
Lady Rams 8th C team downs GMS
Valerie Lord and Jennifer Harrison each scored 10 points to lead the Mineral Wells Junior High School Lady Rams C team to a 30-11 victory over the Granbury Middle School Lady Pirates Thursday night at the MWJH gym.
Also scoring were Courtney Hall and Amy Greensweight, each with four points, and Thalia Hinojos with two.
Tracy Abbott and Greensweight each grabbed five rebounds to lead the Lady Rams, with Jesse Rodriguez finishing with three rebounds.
Lord led the team with five steals, followed by Hall and Harrison, each with three.
“This group keeps getting better each time it plays,”Lady Rams head coach Jeff Brumfield said.
Lady Rams 7th grade A team wins
Sunni Lemely scored nine points, grabbed 10 rebounds and had four steals along with a blocked shot and a pair of assists to lead the Mineral Wells Junior High School Lady Rams seventh-grade A team to a 22-21 victory over the Granbury Middle School Lady Pirates Thursday night at the MWJH gym.
“The girls won a tough game,” Lady Rams head coach Tammy Williams said. “The girls had a tremendous defensive effort. It was a very exciting game from the tip to the last second.”
Other scoring included Montana Choate and Mia Ragland, each with with five points.
Choate also grabbed nine rebounds and had three blocked shots.

The Rams and Lady Rams track teams of Mineral Wells Junior High saw some strong individual performances at the district track meet, April 7-8.
Rams climb on
You can't keep a good team down for long and, as they have indicated this season, the Mineral Wells Rams (14-9, 5-1) are certainly a good team. Four days after a 4-0 loss to Castleberry, during which the Rams mustered only four hits, Mineral Wells came out with a vengeance against the Lake Worth Bullfrogs (2-18, 1-5), riding 10 hits to an 11-0 victory in four-and-a-half innings, Tuesday night, at Pratt Field.
