FORT WORTH – Outscoring their opponents by a count of 9-1, the Mineral Wells Lady Rams soccer team went 2-1 this past weekend at the Brewer tournament.
The Lady Rams began tournament play with a 6-0 victory over Fort Worth Diamond Hill.
Caroline Clarke scored two goals in the match, with Kaleigh Aaron, Gabi Lazo, Kylie Williams and Jasmine Rojo each scoring a goal.
Bre Hinojos was playmaker of the match with three assists, with Aaron adding a pair of helpers.
Also earning an assist was Kylie Burke.
Brittany Smith started and earned the win and combined for the shutout with Mason Malone, Peyton Malone, Desiree bell and Stormie Mayo.
The Lady Rams fell 1-0 to Denton Guyer junior varsity in their second match of the tournament, yielding its only goal of the three-match tournament.
The Lady Rams concluded tournament play with a 3-0 win over Fort Worth Northside, as Smith, Bell,Mayo, Peyton Malone and Mason Malone combined for the shutout in goal.
Mollie Martinez, Clarke and Alana Holly each scored a goal, with Hinojos adding two assists and Aaron another helper in the victory.
On Monday, the Lady Rams junior varsity defeated Birdville JV, 3-2. Samantha Cienega, Michaela Mendoza and Kylie Burke each scored a goal, with Grace Baeza leading with two assists and Sami Hickey adding a helper.
In goal for the Lady Rams were Courtney Hall, Talley Goldston, Gabrielle Gutierrez, Megan Hamric and Jillian Ishmael.
