Three of Mineral Wells Junior High School track records fell while another was equaled last week at the junior high district track meet.
Congratulations go out to the following Jr. High Lady Rams Track Medalists:
Eithth-grader Valerie Lord placed second, earning a silver medal, in high jump with a mark of 7 feet, and she also tied the Mineral Wells Junior High School record on March 7 with a jump of seven feet, six inches.
Valerie Lord also won the silver in the 800-meter run with an MWJH record-breaking time of 2:35.
Seventh-grader Madison Gibbs won gold in both the 2,400-meter and 1,600-meter runs. Madison broke the old 1,600-m time of 5:39 with a new time of 5:38.
Seventhth grader Beatriz Martinez ran well breaking the old 800-meter record of 2:41 with a new time of 2:37.

Millsap Lady Bulldogs face No. 1 Brock
Texas Girls Coaches Association’s No. 1 Class 2A team will be traveling to Millsap on Friday as the Brock Lady Eagles, winners of the past five 2A state championships, will play the District 9-2A opener Friday at Millsap against the Lady Bulldogs.
