The Longhorns’ 800-meter relay team of Allen, Wiginton, King and Pedro Lopez placed second.
Strawn went 1-2 in boys’ pole vault as Owen Allison and Tyler Bayes each qualified for the state meet, and Millsap distance runner Haley Younger placed third in the girls’ 800-meter run, but her time was the best third-place time in the state earning her a trip to the state meet in Austin, which will be held May 10-11 at the University of Texas.
