HUTTONS AND HALLS SHINE IN LOCAL TOURNAMENT
In the Holiday Hills Country Club Guys and Dolls tournament, locals Denny and Sherry Hall turned in rounds of 77 and 73 to take first place in the opening round and second place on Sunday in the fourth flight. George and Linda Hutton turned in two solid rounds to place both days. The twosome shot 71 and 72 to take first place on Saturday and second place on Sunday in the second flight.
Ron and Eileen Anderson tied for third on Sunday in the second flight. On Saturday, Brad and Kelly Wilkerson, along with Koby Ragle and Amanda Terry, tied for first in the third flight. Jeff and Debbie Hendrickson came back on Sunday to win the third flight. In the same flight, Terry and Marilyn Bradshaw placed second on Sunday. Bill Terry and Jennifer Tarlton tied for first in the fourth flight on Saturday. In the first flight, Earon Gatlin and Nicole Belanger took third place on Saturday with a 68. Ricky Hardin and Maggie Palmer placed third on Saturday in the championship flight.
SUMMER JUNIOR GOLF CAMPS
HHCC Junior Golf Camp will teach your youngster all the proper ways to play golf. The three-day camp will cover putting, chipping, pitching, full swing, rules and golf etiquette. Each class will include six hours of instructions overseen by PGA golf professional Tee Jay Burge.
The next junior camp is July 14-16 at HHCC. Ages 6-9 will be from 9-11 a.m. with age group 10-14 taking place from 1-3 p.m. Cost for club members is $60 and for non-members is $75. The last camp is July 21-23.
The annual HHCC Three-Person Scramble tournament will be held July 26 and 27 at HHCC. The tournament will feature a scramble format both Saturday and Sunday.
The Saturday round will be pre-flighted and the Sunday round will be flighted based on Saturday’s scores.
