The eighth grade “A” team Lady Rams played like champions despite losing a tough game to Everman, 27-18.
Leading the Lady Rams in scoring were Cali Pilgrim with eight points followed by Montanna Choate with six while Kaitlynn Blue had two.
Leading the Lady Rams in rebounds were post Montanna Choate with a huge 14 rebounds followed by Cali Pilgrim with five. Leading in steals were Kaitlynn Blue with four followed by Madison Gibbs and Montanna Choate, each with three.
“Overall, these Lady Rams really played their hearts out against a very strong, fast team despite not having two starters, Kayee Gregory and Sunni Lemley, who are out due to injury,” coach Jeff Brumfield said. “What a joy it has been to watch these young ladies mature as athletes.”
8th B ladies win
The eighth grade “B” team finished the basketball season Monday night with a very impressive 33-15 victory over the Everman Bulldogs.
This was a true team effort with great defense, high school-like passing, and very good offense. Eight players scored points, eight players pulled in at least one rebound, and every player making at least one assist. Kambrie Graue led the Lady Rams with seven points. Top rebounder was Carly Arwood with seven. Haley Hunter had three blocks and five rebounds (while playing on a sprained ankle).
The win boosted the Lady Rams into a third-place finish in district play.
“Congratulations ladies,” coach Victor Pyle said. “I would like to thank you for a great season, not giving up and finishing strong.”
8th C ladies win
The eighth grade “C” team Lady Rams played very well and beat Everman in a very close game 22-20.
Leading the Lady Rams in scoring was post Macy West with a huge 12 points followed by Jordan Boyd, Cassie Parker, Esperanza Carbajal, each with two points. Leading the Lady Rams in rebounds were Macy West with four, followed by Savannah Tuggle with two. Leading in steals was Tuggle with three.
“These Lady Rams have really improved this year and have been a joy to coach,” coach Jeff Brumfield said.
7th A ladies notch two wins
The seventh grade “A” team Lady Rams defeated Brewer on Jan. 23, 30-11. Brei Ruelas led the team offensively with eight points, Ambria Luster scored six, Isis Harley, Alyssa Ruelas, Charlee Hickey each had four, Makiah Horton, Mia Elder, and Terra Newsom scored two.
Ambria Luster and Stormy Lovern led the team defensively with 10 rebounds collectively. Adding to the defense was Alyssa Ruelas, Terra Newsom and Charlee with four steals.
On Monday, the Lady Rams defeated Everman ,25-17. Brei Ruelas led the team offensively with 12 points, Alyssa Ruelas scored eight, Ambria Luster put up a three in the first quarter to tie the game at 5 all. Terra Newsom added 2 more points in the third quarter to put the Lady Rams up by two.
Great defense and aggressive scoring put the Lady Rams ahead in the 4th to win the game.

7th B ladies win pair
The seventh grade “B” team Lady Rams defeated the Brewer Bears on Jan. 23, 19-6.
Dru Moses was the leading scorer with five points and she also contributed seven rebounds. Bethany Pophin and Sierra Hall trailed right behind with four points each. The girls ended our last away game with great basketball skills demonstrated on the court.
On Monday, the Lady Rams defeated the Everman, 16-9. Rachel Carter was the leading scorer with eight points. Bethany Pophin helped with four points, three rebounds, and a steal.
“The girls played an amazing last game,”coach Tammy Williams said. “They have continued to improve all season and have made us all very proud of our Lady Rams.”
Lady Rams 7th C wins twice
The seventh grade “C” team Lady Rams defeated the Brewer Bears on Jan. 23, 36-18. Brittany Swindle lead the team with 18 points, seven rebounds, and nine steals. Brittney Pagan was our second-leading scorer with nine points.
On Monday, the Lady Rams defeated the Everman, 15-4. Brittany Swindle led the team for the second week in a row with 11 points.
Claudia Rangel and Chloe Adams both contributed with four points each.
“Congratulations to these girls for improving each week, and keeping their grades up in order to participate the entire season,” coach Tammy Williams said.
