Former Mineral Wells all-state athlete Adrian Colbert, now playing as a redshirt freshman at the University of Texas, saw playing time on all Longhorns’ special teams and late in the game played at defensive back during Texas’ 30-7 win over TCU Saturday at Amon Carter Stadium in Fort Worth. Colbert, wearing No. 26, played on the kickoff and punt return teams as well as the kickoff and punt teams. He also saw duty as a safety late in the game.
