Coming off a District 6-3A third-place tiebreaker loss to Lake Worth, the Mineral Wells Lady Rams will face a monumental task when as a fourth seed they will take on state-ranked No. 11 Iowa Park at 8 p.m. today at Jacksboro High School in a Class 3A, Region I bi-district volleyball playoff match.

Iowa Park is the champion from District 5-3A. The MWHS/Iowa Park match will be the second match of a playoff doubleheader scheduled at Jacksboro High School today.

The winner of the Lady Rams/Iowa Park match will take on the winner of the Gatesville/Alvarado bi-district playoff match in the area round. Gatesville is the runner-up in District 8-3A, while Alvarado placed third in District 7-3A.

The Lady Rams won their final two district matches to force a third-place tie with Lake Worth, but the Lady Frogs captured the third seed when they defeated the Lady Rams in four games in a tiebreaker match on Friday.

Should MWHS win today, it would be the first Lady Rams volleyball team to reach the area (second) round in consecutive years.
