Kathy Brogdon, who is a faithful volunteer of the Helping Hands Food Pantry of the Millsap First Baptist Church, has asked that a thank you be given to everyone who donated to the food drives at the middle and elementary schools, as well as to everyone who gives through the area churches and organizations that regularly donate. Mrs. Brogdon said she only wishes it were possible to send each person a thank you note as the donations made the pantry well stocked. This meant that 14 families were helped during Thanksgiving, and the volunteers at the pantry really appreciate all of the help.
Here’s a worthwhile project going on over at Brock that could make your Christmas decorating easier. The Brock-Dennis VFD and Brock High School Benevolence Fund are selling beautiful Christmas trees. They are located under a big tent at Silver Star Village in the north end of the town. There are many sizes to choose from, with some being no less than 7 feet tall and very full. Prices range from $105 to $230. Hours of operation are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1-7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays, 12:30-6 p.m. All profits are split between the two organizations, so you can get a beautiful tree while donating to two worthy causes.
A reminder that some great Christmas music will be presented on Dec. 13 at the Millsap High School Cafeteria as the middle school and high school bands and choirs will be in concert.
