The alumni of Millsap ISD had a great reunion on April 26. Many classes were represented. Mrs. Lillie Cowan Walden was the student from the 1936 Class, which was the earliest group represented. Superintendent David Belding and High School Principal Tammy Addison welcomed alumni. Students from the FFA did a great job of helping out in a number of ways. There was lots of good food for lunch and a productive business meeting. There was a camera left behind, so the owner needs to leave a message at 940-682-4402 to claim it. It was a wonderful day of visiting, memories and plans for next year’s reunion!
Volunteers from the Millsap Food Pantry are excited to announce that Millsap Post Office is sponsoring an in-house food drive Monday, May 5, through Saturday, May 10, with all food collected going to the local pantry. A receptacle will be in the post office lobby for dropping off staples. The pantry especially needs canned meats, peanut butter, boxes of oatmeal and crackers. There is not a need at this time for any kind of beans or corn. Hope we can fill the pantry with all of the needed items.
May 5-9 is Teachers Appreciation Week, so let’s thank a teacher. I thank you for reading about and sharing in the happenings of Millsap.
